Ali's Party

On October 16th we had Ali's birthday party.
We just had a few close friends and family come by to help us celebrate!
It was still a little overwhelming to us!
But we are thankful to have so many wonderful people in our lives!  Thanks for helping us celebrate a year of blessings, health, and the joy and love of our life...our sweet Ali girl!

I found the idea for these banners online and decided to try to make them myself!
I was so excited that they actually turned out okay! :)

One of my former students' grandmothers made us the most amazing pound cake ever and sent it to us when we first came home from Birmingham with Ali, so I decided to ask her if she could make cupcakes and Ali's smash cake for her party!  She so kindly accepted!  They were delicious!
We still have some in the freezer to save for another sweet treat!

Sitting with my daddy...

Ali was not a fan of her cake...

After she gagged and threw up...seriously!  Its on video!  Poor baby doll!

Getting all clean after my sad cake experience...

Now I am all clean and ready to open gifts!!

Loved my fun car from Meme and Papa!

If we stopped moving she would cry!  Drama already...

Beep! Beep!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALI GIRL!!!!
WE LOVE YOU!

My First Birthday

October 14 came so quickly!  We can't believe that Ali is one!  We have been so blessed with such a wonderful, healthy year for Ali!  We are so thankful for God's grace and provision in our lives!  For Ali's birthday I took half the day off so we could spend as much of her birthday together as possible!  We had an event at school that morning so I couldn't take the whole day.  But half a day was better than none!  We took Ali to the pumpkin patch and she had the best time!  She loved looking at all the animals and touching the grass, pumpkins, and corn!  We hope to make this a tradition for years to come!  Then we headed home to open gifts and spend the rest of her birthday at home.

We love you precious birthday girl!  You are so amazing!  We can't believe you are one!!!

Ali Lately...

Well, I continue to not do very well keeping up with this blog!  So here we go again with a few posts to catch you up!  Ali has been a very busy girl learning to crawl, walk, and now run!  Here is a little bit about the end of summer and fall!

July
At the end of July, my brother, Jeff, came home from California!  We were so thankful and happy to see him!  It was his first time to meet Ali so it was a very emotional and happy few days that we got to spend with him!

Fall
I headed back to work at the beginning of August and since then it has been a whirlwind of a first semester of kindergarten!  The days are so full and busy!  Mine and Ali's day starts around 5 or 5:30 and hers ends with bed time around 6:45 and I usually manage to sit down by 7:30 or 8:00!  The days have flown by which is great for school, but not for the precious baby days of Ali!  Here are a few pictures of our fall with Ali!  We are so thankful for this precious angel!  She brings so much joy into our life!
Ali became a pro at pulling up and crawling by the middle of August!
She weighed 15 pounds 2 ounces.

Ali loves her books.  I was working in her room for a few minutes and I look away for one second and look back to find her dumping her basket of books out and this is what followed...

Funny girl making a mess with her books! So sweet!

One of Anthony's friends brought a baby deer to visit Ali.  The deer's name was Ali too!
Ali loved the sweet baby deer.

She wasn't scared one bit!

Football season is here!  War Eagle!!!

Pulling up and cruising along the couch!

Taking pictures at Toomer's...

Loving my daddy!

Precious little tiger!

My hair is growing and I love bath time!

Standing up everywhere I go!
